Basic information on data processing and legal basis
This privacy policy explains the type, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offer and the associated websites, functions and content (hereinafter jointly referred to as “online offer” or “website”). The privacy policy applies regardless of the domains, systems, platforms and devices used (e.g. desktop or mobile) on which the online offer is executed.
You can find more information on the terms used, such as “personal data” or their “processing”, in Article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Inventory data (e.g. names and addresses of customers)
Contract data (e.g. services used and payment information)
Usage data (e.g. the websites visited on our online offering, interest in our articles)
Content data (e.g. entries in the contact or newsletter form)
Meta/communication data (e.g. device information and IP addresses)
2. Purpose of the processing
The purpose of the processing includes the provision of the online offer, its functions and content, answering contact requests and communication with users, security measures and reach measurement as well as marketing.

We only store personal data of users of this website through the use of online forms and e-mail hyperlinks. In addition, we may store your data if you send us an e-mail with a request after visiting this website.
5. Security
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries that you send to us via forms or by email, we use SSL encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser begins with “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Further security measures
We take further organizational, contractual and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of data protection laws are complied with and to protect the data processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.
6. Collection of your data via forms
If you send us an inquiry using the contact form, your data will be sent to us directly by email. It will not be stored on external servers.
We store your data for the duration of your request. Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected by this. All data will only be processed by us and stored on our own server. We do not pass this data on to third parties.
The only exception is the transfer of your data to the provider 'Kit, Inc.', which we use to send our newsletter. Further information on the processing of personal data in this case can be found under point 10 of this privacy policy.
7. Enquiries by e-mail and telephone
If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your request and the resulting personal data (name, e-mail address, etc.) will be stored and processed for the purpose of processing your request.
The data transmitted by you will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular statutory retention periods - remain unaffected by this.
8. Where your personal data is stored
When you submit your data to us via the website or by email, it will be stored exclusively on our own server and will only be used for the purpose of fulfilling your request.
The only exception is the transfer of your data to the provider 'Kit, Inc.', which we use to send our newsletter. Further information on the processing of personal data in this case can be found under point 10 of this privacy policy.
9. Disclosure of your data
We do not pass on your data to third parties unless we are legally obliged to pass on personal data or the disclosure is necessary for national security, taxation or law enforcement purposes. The only exception is the transfer of your data to the provider 'Kit, Inc.', which we use to send our newsletter. Further information on the processing of personal data in this case can be found under point 10 of this privacy policy.
10. The VielGut Club newsletter
The following information explains the content of our newsletter, the registration, dispatch and statistical evaluation procedure and your rights of objection.
By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the procedure described.
We only send newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereinafter “newsletter”) with the consent of the recipient or with legal permission.
Content of the newsletter
If the content of the newsletter is specifically described when registering for the newsletter, it is decisive for the user's consent. Our newsletters contain reports from our own everyday life, recipes, news, (product) recommendations and other information.
Double opt-in and logging
Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called “double opt-in procedure”. This means that after registering, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration.
This confirmation is necessary so that no-one can register with other people's e-mail addresses.
Subscriptions to the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation and the IP address. Changes to your data stored by the mailing service provider are also logged.
Service provider
The newsletter is sent by 'Kit, Inc.', 750 West Bannock Street #761, Boise, Idaho 83701-0761, USA.
You can view the privacy policy of Kit, Inc. here ↗. 'Kit, Inc' has undertaken to comply with the European level of data protection via standard contractual clauses (see here ↗ ).
According to its own information, the mailing service provider can use this data in anonymized form, i.e. without assignment to the respective user, to optimize or improve its own services, for example to technically optimize the dispatch and presentation of the newsletter or for statistical purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, the mailing service provider does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass it on to third parties.
Registration data
To register for the newsletter, all you need to do is enter your e-mail address and a name. You can enter your first name, but of course you can also enter any other name you would like to be addressed by. This is only used to address you personally in the newsletters.
Statistical survey and analyses ('performance measurement')
The newsletters contain a so-called “web beacon”. This is a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the mailing service provider's server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, is initially collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on the retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or the access times.
The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. It is neither our aim nor in our interest, nor that of the mailing service provider, to observe individual users. The evaluations are used exclusively to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.
A separate revocation of the performance measurement is unfortunately not possible, in this case the entire newsletter subscription must be canceled.
Cancellation and revocation
You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time with one click, i.e. revoke your consent. At the same time, your consent to the newsletter being sent by the mailing service provider and the statistical analyses will expire. Unfortunately, it is not possible to withdraw your consent to the newsletter being sent by the newsletter service provider or to the statistical analysis separately. You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. Once users have subscribed to the newsletter and canceled their subscription, their personal data will be deleted.
The use of the mailing service provider, the performance of statistical surveys and analyses and the logging of the registration process are based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. I am interested in using a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves our interests and meets the expectations of users.
11. Your rights
You have the right to request confirmation as to whether the data in question is being processed and to request information about this data as well as further information and a copy of the data in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR.
You have accordingly. Art. 16 GDPR, you have the right to request the completion of data concerning you or the rectification of inaccurate data concerning you.
In accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, you have the right to demand that the data in question be deleted immediately or, alternatively, to demand that the processing of the data be restricted in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR.
You have the right to request to receive the data concerning you that you have provided to us in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR and to request its transfer to other controllers.
In accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

Users can object to the future processing of their personal data in accordance with the legal requirements at any time. The objection can be made in particular against processing for direct marketing purposes.
13. Changes to the privacy policy
We will revise this data protection notice in the event of changes to this website or other occasions that make this necessary. However, this only applies with regard to declarations on data processing. If user consent is required or components of the privacy policy contain provisions of the contractual relationship with the user, the changes will only be made with the consent of the user.
